Pavers are a less permanent option which provides design flexibility and also permeably if applicable.

Tile materials are installed over a reinforced concrete foundation. A properly constructed base is critical to prevent cracking, shifting, and long-term maintenance issues. Driveways have additional construction considerations such a load weight and vehicular traffic, resulting in a thicker base construction and appropriate tile materials. While tile on concrete construction typically carry a higher cost, they offer a broader range of aesthetic possibilities and can be selected to complement the architectural finishes of the home. In many projects, combining finished concrete and tile materials provides the ideal balance of appearance, performance, and budget, resulting in a unique outdoor space tailored to the homeowner’s style and needs.
