Modern Patio Point Loma

When we first assessed this property, the backyard was a wide expanse of lawn with little structure or purpose. Despite the incredible San Diego Bay views, the space did not support outdoor living, entertaining, or everyday use. Our challenge was to transform the yard into a functional landscape that offered multiple experiences while maintaining clear sightlines and a cohesive design.

We redesigned the space as a modern outdoor retreat with distinct yet connected zones. The new layout includes an outdoor dining patio with a BBQ counter and bar seating, a fire pit positioned to capture the bay views, a pool lounge deck, a bocce ball court, and a lawn area for open play. Thoughtful hardscape design ties each space together, creating a seamless flow and a backyard that feels like a private vacation just outside the home.
