Torrey Pines Landscape Company Secures Top Spots In 2025 CLCA Beautification Awards
Award season has once again brought some major news for Torrey Pines Landscape Company! The California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) San Diego Chapter recognized the firm with five awards this year, capped by the coveted President’s Award.
For those unfamiliar, the CLCA is a statewide nonprofit trade organization comprising state-licensed landscape and landscape-related limited specialty contractors. The organization’s 2,500-strong membership roster also includes suppliers, landscape architects, educators, public officials, and students.
Its San Diego chapter hosts the annual Beautification Awards to showcase the craft and creativity of local professionals. Eighteen categories highlight both specialized elements, such as lighting and water management, and complete project outcomes that demonstrate design quality and construction skill.
The President’s Award sits above the individual categories and functions as the jury’s best-in-show recognition. Selected projects reflect thoughtful planning, sound construction practices, and a design vision that turns a challenging site or brief into a cohesive, livable environment.
Alongside the President’s Award, Torrey Pines received first-place recognition in Residential Maintenance B. This category honors contractors who go above and beyond to steward existing designs, managing plant health, irrigation tuning, and pruning discipline.
The team also earned top honors in two construction categories: Design & Build Construction A and Design & Build Construction B. The A category recognizes exceptional design and construction in smaller residential spaces, where every line, elevation change, and material choice has to perform double duty. The B category celebrates excellence at a larger residential scale, where the challenge shifts to orchestrating multiple outdoor rooms, transitions, and amenities into a unified composition.
Rounding out the list is the CLCA’s Outstanding Achievement award. This honor is given when the jury sees notable merit that deserves special mention even within a highly competitive field. It often reflects design clarity, craftsmanship, or site-sensitive problem solving that elevates a project beyond its peers.
